The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is an independent government agency that regulates NDIS providers to ensure they deliver safe, quality services. The Commission sets the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct, handles complaints about NDIS providers, manages the NDIS Worker Screening Check process, and can take action against providers who breach standards. Livara Care is registered with the Commission and adheres to all NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct. You can contact the Commission on 1800 035 544 if you have concerns about any NDIS provider.

A registered NDIS provider has been formally assessed and approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registered providers must meet NDIS Practice Standards, undergo regular audits, ensure workers hold NDIS Worker Screening Checks, and comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct. An unregistered provider has not gone through this process. Participants with NDIA-managed plans can only use registered providers. Participants with plan-managed or self-managed plans can use both registered and unregistered providers. Livara Care is a fully registered NDIS provider, which means we can work with all NDIS participants regardless of how their plan is managed.

Services & Support

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support that helps participants live as independently as possible in their own home or shared accommodation. SIL includes assistance with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, household chores, medication management, and developing independent living skills. Livara Care provides SIL support across Sydney, with support workers who can assist participants in their own homes or in shared living arrangements. The level of support is tailored to each participant's needs and goals as outlined in their NDIS plan. Learn more about SIL

Yes. Livara Care actively recruits support workers from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds across Sydney. We match participants with workers who speak their preferred language and understand their cultural context. Our team includes support workers who speak Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tamil, Tagalog, and more. We understand that cultural compatibility is essential for building trust and delivering effective disability support, particularly for participants and families who feel more comfortable communicating in their first language. Yes. Livara Care provides NDIS-funded respite care to give families and primary carers a break while ensuring participants continue to receive quality support. Respite care can be provided in the participant's home, in the community, or as short-term accommodation. It can range from a few hours to several days, depending on the needs of the participant and their family. Respite care includes assistance with personal care, meals, medication, community access, and social activities. This service is particularly valuable for carers who need time to attend appointments, rest, or spend time with other family members. Learn about respite care

Yes. Community participation is a core part of our NDIS services. We support participants to access community activities including visits to local parks, shopping centres, libraries, community centres, sporting events, social groups, and recreational programs. Our support workers are familiar with local amenities across Sydney and can help participants build confidence, develop social skills, and maintain meaningful community connections. We tailor community participation activities to each participant's interests, goals, and NDIS plan objectives. Learn about community participation

Pricing & Plan Management

NDIS support costs are set by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) through the NDIS Price Guide. As a registered NDIS provider, Livara Care charges within the limits set by the Price Guide. The cost depends on the type of support, the time of day (weekday, evening, weekend, or public holiday), and the intensity of support required. Standard weekday support is charged at the rate specified in the current NDIS Price Guide. We provide transparent, itemised invoicing so you always know exactly what is being charged. Participants do not pay out-of-pocket — costs are claimed directly from their NDIS plan.

Yes. Livara Care can assist with plan management and support coordination. Plan management involves managing the financial aspects of your NDIS plan, including paying providers, tracking your budget, and ensuring claims are processed correctly. Support coordination helps you understand and implement your NDIS plan, connect with service providers, and build your capacity to manage your own supports over time. Contact us to discuss whether plan management or support coordination is included in your NDIS plan.

After-Hours & Emergency Support

We understand that needs do not always fit within standard business hours. While our standard office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Livara Care provides after-hours support arrangements for existing participants with approved high-intensity or complex care needs. For urgent situations outside business hours, existing clients and families can contact our after-hours line. We maintain an on-call roster of experienced support workers who can respond to urgent situations including hospital admissions, falls, medication concerns, and carer breakdown.

For life-threatening emergencies, always call 000 immediately. Our after-hours support is designed to complement, not replace, emergency medical services. We coordinate closely with hospitals, GPs, and allied health professionals across Sydney including Westmead Hospital, Blacktown Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital to ensure participants receive appropriate medical care and continuity of support.
